THE GRITTY BIRDS PODCAST ANNOUNCES SECOND ANNIVERSARY DANCE PARTY RECORDING WITH SKULL DIVER, COCO COLUMBIA AND SECRET HEADLINER

XRAY.FM radio show and podcast Gritty Birds is celebrating its second anniversary with a diverse line-up of women artists including recent WW Best New Band honoree Coco Columbia, upcoming Vortex Artist to Watch Skull Diver, comedian Kellie Irwin and a secret headlining performance from one of the show’s former guests. The performances will be recorded and released with studio interviews in late spring/early summer. The dance party is sponsored in partnership with XRAY.FM, Vortex Music Magazine and Kelly’s Olympian.

Over two years Gritty Birds, the passion project of artist and producer Jeni Wren Stottrup, has grown into one of Portland’s most respected podcasts. Fusing storytelling with intimate interviews about the state of today’s music industry and the nature of creativity, Gritty Bird is continuing to push its boundaries moving into the 3rd “season” moving to a longer format and bi monthly release schedule.

The 57th episode, recorded at Treefort Music Fest, featuring artists including Why?, Open Mike Eagle, Jenny Don’t and the Spurs, Reptilians and more will be released will be released the week of the show.
