XRAY.fm is thrilled to announce the official launch of XRAY TV, a partnership between XRAY.fm and Open Signal!
XRAY TV is a truly independent television venture whose top priority is providing the tools necessary for community-driven free expression. XRAY TV supports media makers in creating content that reflects diverse perspectives on culture, politics, storytelling, music and beyond. The programming is a combination of original series, blocks of original and found footage curated by notable Portland artists, filmed talk radio, and music-related coverage.
XRAY TV is made possible through the support of Open Signal. A non-profit media arts center dedicated to local, non-commercial media production and education, Open Signal acts as a homebase to XRAY TV. Providing access to gear, studio space and editing facilities, Open Signal supports a growing collaborative community made up of hundreds of producers. XRAY TV is a free, independent and inclusive media source proud to support content developed in the community, by the community, for the community. It will be available online and on Saturday nights from 10PM – 2AM on Comcast/Xfinity channels 29 (standard definition) and 329 (high definition) with hopes to eventually grow into 24-hour rotation.
